I'm Savindi, and welcome to my Educational Resource website on using Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke film in the post-secondary education classroom. While this resource is created for the University/ College classroom, it can be adapted to be used in a High School setting.  I'm excited to share this educational resource, and I hope you will find it helpful!

The website is divided into three sections. The section "Anime in the Classroom" discusses what "anime" is and how instructors could use it in the classroom. If you have students unfamiliar with the genre, I hope this section will help you provide information about it.  The "Princess Mononoke in the Classroom" section outlines a lesson plan I've developed on how the film can be used to discuss Japan in the classroom. The lesson plan provides links to the film online, questions to ask students and a final assignment.  In addition to the lesson plan, you can find more resources on Studio Ghibli, including videos and a documentary in the "Additional Resources" section.
