Hello!

Welcome to my "About" page, where I'll discuss my story. 

​

I'm currently in my final semester of Graduate School. I'm working towards getting my Masters of Education degree, and Critical & Reflective Practices is my 9th course! I'm so close to being done, which is exciting! 

​

A little bit about my educational journey, I've grown up between Sri Lanka and Canada. Two countries with vastly different education systems have served me well to understand what education means in different communities. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Guelph and a Creative Book Publishing Diploma from Humber College.

I've spent most of my adult life working with Youth outside and within Higher Education, and I have loved it! I've learned so much from my students. As a person, I'm quite introspective, which is why a course focusing on reflective practices was appealing to me. With this course, I feel like I'm learning how the practice of Reflection can be more meaningful not just to my colleagues but also to students.

Some non-education information about me: I'm a huge fan of British television, anime and KPOP (Korean Pop Music), I'm a dog lover and I dogsit occasionally and I love collecting stationery!
